Welcome to Beth Hobden Eventing
I am a 17 year old event rider, my Mum trained race horses and sparked my love for everything equestrian. My eventing journey began when we moved to a farm at the age of 7 and I fell in love with a Welsh pony called Charlie. I am currently working towards my AH test in the pony club!
I'm based in East Sussex, surrounded by some of the best equestrian facilities in the country.

Bishop Burton Festival of youth + Final Trial!
Although certaintly not the fairytale ending we would have wished for in the final trial at Bishop Burton, I am incredibly grateful to have both me and Kev home in one piece.
Saturday morning kev did his best ever test, to score a huge PB of 27.3 at 2* level. This left him in a very competitive position, well inside the top five heading into the jumping phases. I was beyond chuffed with how hard he tried, and this was a huge milestone in our eventing journey so far as the dressage has always been a challenge for Kev. The excitement was quickly cut short with me having to retire XC that afternoon, having decided to make the call before one or both of us got seriously injured. And to say i'm gutted truly is an understatement. It just wasn't like Kev, having some very uncharacteristic refusals at fences he would never even think about on a usual day.
So that brought our time at the final trial to an abrubpt end, along with our time pushing for junior selection this year. Despite our personal results, my week was definitely made when the South East region took the win for the 2*, for the second year in a row. It sure was bittersweet to be leaving Bishop for my 5th and final time as an u18 rider, and I really have made friends for life!
It has undoubtedly been a tough week, but the main thing to me is Kev has come back safe and sound. Thank you SO much to everyone who has supported me this week, we both live to fight another day.

Boys training at Boomerang!
An early 4AM start saw us make then trek up to the lovely boomerang stables with both Kev and Mole. Kev felt fantastic adressing a few weak points when on course and building confidence when tackling the more demanding combinations. So incredibly excited for the final trial in a few weeks!
Mole was also awesome, definitely feeling like he is maturing in his way of going. So pleased with how his confidence is developing and how he is beginning to look for the flags! Thank you to everyone who continues to support me and the boys - countdown to Bishop Burton is ON!
Kev has been longlisted for the Junior Europeans!
I can't quite believe I am saying this but after his recent result at Bicton in the CCI2*LJ Kev has been longlisted for the junior Europeans held in Sweden!
Thank you so much to every single person who makes this possible, and most of all, thank you Kev for everything you have done for me! Very excited for the final trial at Bishop Burton...
